Aufstand der Utopien - Projection Mapping

Aufstand der Utopien - roughly translated as "The Rebellion of Utopias" is a festival in Chemnitz (formerly known as Karl-Marx Stadt) that asks the question of how we want to live in the future. Facing distopia through the rise of the new right and young people leaving the town, it is an urgent question for this community that used to thrive in the GDR. The organisers are looking for a positive narration about the future. I was commissioned by the festival to map the iconic bronze relief behind the famous Karl-Marx Monument with selected citations and claims.
