Kunstfest Opening, Weimar 2016

Year after year, the art festival "Kunstfest Weimar" draws a lot of attention and attracts a broad public to the city of Weimar. The opening ceremony gathers both, the inhabitants and the visitors from abroad on the central Theaterplatz and culminates in an audiovisual live performance, using the facade of the Nationaltheater as stage for music, light, projection and dance. MXZEHN was commissioned to create and perform live projection mapping. In addition to the content creation I programmed a show control environment in TouchDesigner that would playback prerecorded as well as generative content and provided the time-code used to synchronize visuals, sound, lighting and live performers throughout the show.
